I believe him when he says he forgets some stuff, but I also think he's embellishing a bit when he says, "I can't remember a thing from that era!". Yes you can Em, you probably remember your fucking birth.

It's a wonder he's where he's at. When he was young he at least had a sense of rhythm, long before he started rapping. He would rock back and forth in his chair when he heard music, according to his uncle, and he started dancing. So the flow came from his natural sense of rhythm. After the overdose he had to reteach himself motor skills from zero; I'm sure that included his natural timing and rhythm, which may be a contributing factor as to why his flow is so different/he may have forgotten how he used to flow.

Well to be honest, I guess I heard it for the last time like a year ago too. It's one of my favourite songs OAT but I know it'd ruin its magic for me if I bumped it every week or day.

I'm pretty sure he could listen to business or role model and sound like that again. I don't think he wants to. It would be... fake. Honestly, these new lyrics are so good I don't even care. Fuck a beat. Rick Rubin did a great job on that last mathers lp but if he keeps giving us songs with as much content as CD, Tdpt, the Cxvpher and DvE, I could care less if it was all acapella and eminem didn't even make traditional music anymore.
Clearly he never relearned rhythm properly, so we're not going to hear him flow like pillinem again, in fact he sounds a lot like he did before he started using heavily, ie on biterphobia etc, which means from here on out everything is most likely going to be recorded capella, for a beat either he or another producer made to sound good with his or someone else's word or was worse yet prepared in advance.
I'd just as soon hear a whole album performed like rap city/the last two cyphers than an entire album of the SiH/cmon let me ride flow/production (cringe).
