He can't rap the same way as before because his voice is fucked, that's all. That's age + alcohol + smoking + a lot of concerts hurting his vocal chords.
Listen a bit more carefully you will hear how his voice gets deeper on every album. Also notice how he can't rap live as good as he used too. Concert for valor was the first concert we got in good quality in a long time and showed that he's out of breath and that his voice doesn't have the same power/energy as before.
BTW The Warning was five years ago, so it's equally distant from Encore and right now. It doesn't prove anything, his voice was still ok during the Relapse era but he used this fucking accent all the time. Compare how he sounds on Lose Yourself from the Detroit show of 2009 and from the Concert for Valor. Now his voice sounds like it's really fucked up and that's also why he's using so many effects and arranging his voice so much on the records. That's also why it sounds choppy, because I think he doesn't record things in one take anymore.
I'd love to hear a good quality live of him rapping over songs like business. From what I heard on Youtube he just doesn't have the voice to do it anymore. His vocal chords are always broken.
Also the part about how he had to learn completely about writing and rapping again is, in my opinion, mostly bullshit. He knew how to rap even when he was high as fuck. He has some great songs on the RE Up.
He just tries different things, which I don't like as much as what he used to do. Can't blame him for this but it would be cool if he adopted a simple flow, a flow with a meody in it. Like he used to have.
IMO Right for Me is just not a song, That's a 4 minutes freestyle and that's really not enjoyable except if you're looking for the most complex/technical rap song of all time. I just want to listen to good songs.
