Dell has best price vs. performance.
For instance, you can customize Inspiron 17" laptops to have the new Core2Duo 7200 processor, the 7900 GS graphics card (which is the third best laptop graphics card you can get= really really good), and 2 Gig ram for around $1,600 dollars w/ coupons.
That's a really good price considering same specs from higher end gaming businesses, such as Alienware, go up to $2000+. Of course Dell's customer support and quality build may be a bit worse, but it's still a good deal.
P.S. If you want to get a Dell here's the coupons
http://www.notebookreview.com/dellCoupon.asp. You enter the code during checkout. I've noticed Dell changes their coupons once a week (on thursday). They alter between $300 dollars off to 20% off. If you plan to purchase a laptop over $1,500, I'd wait till next week because 20% off gives you a better deal.
Dell ? He wants to play games. Dell sucks.
It's only for Internet and some texts.
That's not entirely true. Dell's new XPS laptops are the best on the market. Best graphics card, processor, etc. etc. However, all this comes at a big price: around $4,000 (no coupons for it either).
Anyways, hope this helped. Good luck finding a laptop
