creating dvds with menus and features

simple question but the answer gonna be hard i think

how do you create a dvd and add a menu with a picture and options to start/skip to scene and stuff like that, also how to add audio to dvd menu etc

gonna be makin some dvds but not for a while now, if i learn now then when i get them they gonna be easier to make

i have nero but wasnt aware it creates dvds
