the truth is whatever you want the truth to be
Curious wrote:no the truth is subjective, facts can be twisted and interpreted the way you want to interpret them - history depends on who wrote it, the Russians present it one way, the West presents it another way, and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle but you always have to be critical towards whatever a government says because they always have a particular agenda
i'm not gonna get into another argument with u about Stalin, we've already been down that road countless times...

n u've used russian myths so the score is even - try all u want, but ur not tricking me into discussing this with u again

What myths? Most people on this board or on the board dont even know the story behind stalin and chrustiev.

ur stereotyping, in my country kids do learn about it in school - as for certain other countries, that's a different story

myth, not fact - i highly doubt you know the education level in all European countries, in fact i highly doubt you know much about, let's say, Scandinavian politics and history, whereas Scandinavians learn about Russian politics and history

I went from MODERN day russian education to english and it was exactly 2 classes back, i even finished school at 16.
And soviet education was the dominant at its time, whith the discovery of internet etc... it would be even more effective in the 21st century.
The amount of books people were required to read and the usefull strictness in schools that kept our youth moral ... is legendary.
