Actually theres more than three a day, i clear shit up myself every time i log on.
these apear on big forums, they are bots.

some emails they use can be blocked but they use more then one email sites out of which many are pop ones like yahoo, etc...

I've installed a number of 'fixes' over the last few months but the bots are getting smarter and getting through many blocks I'm trying to implement. I guess it's a complement to the level of success we've reached but it's a problem all forums have to deal with. I'm going to be taking a closer look at the bots and will find ways of defeating them .. even if it means I visit the creator of each bot and break their face.

Please bear with us. :)

I always just thought that the bigger and more popular and more attention a forum got, the more spam/bots it's gonna attract.

well yea that prevents automated registration
picture recognition is still hard to crack
that is a definite way of preventin bots

the bots dont have to crack the code, all they have to do is by pass it.
what it prolly does is it just adds itself tothe database without permission.

Bots can get past the image verification by using OCR technology to map the image and turn it into text. There are ways to prevent bots, some of which I'm now having to look into.
