But i have a very skewed concept about love right now, im not sure it even exists. Maybe it does, but it sure is overrated.

I've been in love twice; neither time it worked out but luckily I have good memories and we're still on good terms.

For danigantt:

Be careful: help and support him as much as you can but remember he has to want to clean up and be committed to his own rehab and recovery for himself- he can't and shouldn't do it for you or it won't work and he'll relapse and both of you will just become more frustrated and hurt.

Don't let him take advantage of you and don't you enable him.

I don't know if by family you mean extended, grown family or if you have children together- if it's kids be prepared to put them first if it gets to bad.

He's an addict, which I didn't think marijuana was addictive, but apparently it can be. I've also been looking it up and some of the effects of longterm marijuana usage, he has.

He wants to stop, he said. He also said he'd tried a bunch of times to stop. I think he cried because he realized he was an addict. He was like, "i'm no better than a crackhead. if it wasn't for you [me] and my family, i'd be on the streets somewhere."

So... there's my dilemma. Stay and help him, like ray charles wife, or move on and find someone new.
never in a MILLION years did i ever think i'd have to put up with this addiction shit...
