windows update

when im updating windows , it asks me to validate , but after gives me a window which says updating failed , and even for windows media player asks me for validation .. and i cant use it at all ,

any help please? :whistle:

that means that you don't have a genuine copy of windows xp, that's why it always fails to update your windows products, for example the windows media player...

come on, surely you must know this....it means that you copy of windows is not legit, you didn't buy it from a store, or anything....is this still a mystery to you? :whistle:

hmm lol i just bought a new pc and the owner installed the windows xp himself , so i dont know , so i cant do updates?

if he doesn't have a valid windows xp license, then you can't 'cuz microsoft would know if your verion of xp is not legit.

I'm not saying that you can't do updates, but you'll do it at your own risk...
