Polish people just split with us after the cold war and stole our money and tradition for vodka.

Vodka really is to ones like and preference. Some like they vodka strong and meat from siberian wheat or watever, some like it less strong that has a different flavour (wich most people dont really care about).

Absolute is most available here and is relavantly not too expensive, im pretty much ok with that shit. But as much as i love the mandarin flavoured one, it always gives me a bigger headache in the morning.

vodka is 20% to 40% alcohol, so just see and read which is the strongest. And none of them will taste "sweet". U just have to know how to drink it if ur not mixing it.
