my computer lags, please help

ok, i just reinstalled Windows XP to get rid of all my clutter and shit like that but when i go to browse the web(on any browser) there is a lag when i scroll with the mouse wheel. also, when i go to Control Panel or My Computer and i want to move the window to the center of the screen, it lags. can someone please help me out?

and it seems a lil slow in da screen

if dats da case u need to install da driver for ur vga
dats gonna work

check out properties of ur vga and check if its installed or not

Sounds like a video card or RAM problem.

Bring up Task Manager (CTRL,ALT,DEL) and see how much RAM and CPU power is being used.

Also check to make sure you have the correct video drivers. Go to Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc < Press Enter. This will bring up device manager. Click the plus sign beside Display Adapters. Make sure there is no exclamation point there.

Also you might want to try to decrease your resolution.
