A program foolin' the memory card?

Postby Mr. Cookie » Dec 22nd, '06, 19:08

is there any program foolin' the memory card of a cellphone? like if the phone got 30 MB, could that program ( if it exist ) fool it and make it think it got 50 MB instead??

i don't think it would exist all tho possible, and if it does then some geek did it when they where board,

PS I'm aware that when you read the next your going to call me a geek :P

theroretically I'm guessing that if this was to be used the phone would work up until a certain point where it will try to wright data to space that's not there and then would freeze.
that's if the fooling software was to be used very thurley and right to a basic level of programing for the phone.

if it was used just for the firmware of the phone and masking the real memory size with a bigger size only for the firmware, not letting it wright or even look at all at the 20MB extra (which doesn't even exist) , then I'm guessing that it would work fine, however what would be the point. lol

and can i just ask what made you come up with this?

it's possible, but its pointless, the card would crash and become unusable
