Im a big fan of laid back instrumental tunes, like Pete Rock does, so i decided to give this art a try.

cool beat :8) in my opinion, the kick could be louder though and maybe with a little bit more of high frequencies, to make it come out of the mix better... well, it depends on how you want it to sound like, it's just my opinion lol... but yeah, this beat has a nice vibe

to be honest i just couldnt find a suitable one, this one was even a bit low quality. But i think i might take ur advice and switch that up a bit.

i wanted to master it myself too, but i still dont know wat the fuck im doing wen i try. I just balanced the frequency volumes and amplified it a bit.

thanx for the feed, means a lot coming from you.

yeah, I know what you mean, that happens a lot to me, that I can't find a good kick for a specific beat... cause I don't want to always use the same kick sample, I try to have different sounds as much as possible, even though I often end up using old sounds lol

actually, when it comes to mastering stuff that you mix yourself, I learned that you don't have a lot of things to do to it... what you did is probably enough, cause if you hear something that you want to improve, it's better to just adjust it in the mix... that is something I learned, although I'm far from being a mastering expert lol... I try to improve my mixing skills first

you could jus lay them over one another. kind of like dubs for the beat. that makes whatever you need to stand out louder from what i've seen

yeah, i do that too sometimes... but i the sound i used this time, was abit distorten, it was kinda hard to make it louder, the basic idea was to make it sound like a heartbeat.
