Computer Video card all fucked up

Postby SemiShady » Feb 17th, '07, 13:44

i have a presario r3140us. i have an nvidia4 420 grafix card. nothing bad seemed to happen but one time i rebooted my computer and now its all fucked up. its like crazy in black in white. (its not really black and white, theres color but it maybe looks like a negative.. or if u used the negative feature on a camera.) I reinstalled the driver, no go, any help would be great.

well i've been mess'n with it for a couple days now. I have a s-video out on my graphix card as well. When i hook it up to a tv, i can either do desktop spanning (side by side), or desktop double, (monitor and tv are the same). either way i do it the tv looks fine, full color, but the monitor is still in the 'negative' mode. So maybe the monitor? or could the graphix card still be broke, and for some reason the s-video is still good?

yeah, the drivers were the frist things tried
i uninstalled and deleted the drivers and use like generic something or other ( 800x max resolution ) still the same negative look on the screen (s-video out doesn't work at all of course) so i got the neweset drivers for my card off the nvidia site and everything worked like all the s-video and shit, but screen still looks like a negative. i then tried the origial drivers off the driver recovery cd, same effect as new driver.

however i now have Ubuntu linux installed in a daul boot manner, and screen looks NORMAL in linux (but does not support my s-video out)

:confusion: :confusion: :'( fucking microsoft
