the mic isn't that expensive, you can find it on musiciansfriend.com for $100, quality is great too.

the interfaces and mixers are the expensive part

UPDATE: i bought myself a new cord, seeing as the cord was the problem, and i'm sure it still is, but this new cord didn't help at all. i've noticed that depending out how far i plus the cord into the mic will change the amount of clicks i hear in my recordings... wtf?

how long is the cord in length ? my mic had a specification of never using a cord over 2 meteres long or to expext drastic dip in quality :sweating:

just a 5 foot cord, the shortest cord available. the one we used to use is like 10 feet long and it worked fine up until like 2 weeks ago when we started hearing cracks.

lol sorry man, when i had cash and bought my mic i made sure i got a year warranty incase i broke it coz i if break it i aint ever gonni be able to buy such a good one again, you should take it to a shop n ask them to check it it, it could turn out to be just a little bit of wire thats bent a little n they could straighten it out or something, dont spend the cash on a brand new mic untill it certain you need one :sweating:

well firstly id rule out taking it to a specialist shop cause its gonna cost ya about the sae as the mic's worth to look at not counting to actually fix.

ok so u replaced the cable, witch what one? u got a picture or brand?.

have you asked a mate if you can borrow there mixer to count out the fact your audio source aint broke. Also try using a different soundcard.

its all about trial and error, kncocking out the possiblites to leave you with the answer.
