Ahem...a lil speech.
So far we havent even agreed about the beats, the songs and even the mixtape name. Yet we continue saying "oh yeah i ll do that song" and "i ll do this one" and shit. So here is my plan of doing things.
Part 1: Songs
What we want is to choose what everyone is gon do. You gon do a pimp song? You gon do the gangsta song? A freestyle? What? There is already a 10 song tracklist, and if you want 1 more or 2 more it's still fine. But everyone is gotta make a choice. We cant forward this thang without already having a clear mind and a strong choice.
Part 2: Beats
So far, nearly no beats are accepted. My idea is to link every song of the tracklist to one single beat, accepted by the people who will do the track. There is a whole load of beats we can get, we can even rap on stolen beats (its a mixtape so who cares). But so far we are just giving beats to eachother without even knowing what will this beat be for.
Part 3: Acapellas
If we reach that point, that means everything is doing good, but that's not the end of it. You people might need to record your 16s again and again, for many reasons including quality, tempo, style and everything. For example, you cant do a pimp song in a bad mean 2pac mood. You gotta have this pimping style, this Snoop inside ya. That's just an example. So dont think that you spit your 16 bars and that's all. I know it's frustrating but that's how things are.
Part 4: Mixing The Tape
The only thing you gotta do now is put the acapella files to a zipped archive and upload them. Me or So Real will mix the tracks and in the end, i am gonna mix the songs. There wont be a leading single since it's a mixtape. Only 10-14 tracks and a cover for the mixtape, courtesy of mr Aspirine.
Part 5: Promotion
The rest of the Trshady community will have to listen to the tape first, before we send it out. If there are some good comment about it, which i think there will be, we promote it as much as we can. Links to different boards and of course a Trshady banner on the main page. In the end, if there is more love than we all exprected, we might do a second mixtape.
