and no way in hell he should be comparing himself to em. -_-

just random shit, i'm sure you don't here about every paper or magazine or website or radio station or tv staioin or anything that interviews him. (not that it matters)

And i think Akon just name dropping to make it seem like they know each other well or soemthing.

i'm sure he gets asked questions everyday (don't we all? ), but i don't think they're going to randomly be discussing jay or pac. but i guess you never know -shrugs-

And i think Akon just name dropping to make it seem like they know each other well or soemthing.

maybe, but i get the vibe that akon keeps mentioning him for publicity. he seemed real happy he managed to get em on a track in the first place

yeah, for publicity is what i meant by name dropping. He plays it off like there just bros, but its for publicity. How often do you hear Em talk about akon? only when asked.. lol

You seriously need to look up the word groupie in a dictionary, there's nothing groupie or even offended-sounding about Tru's statement - it's a fact that there hasn't been published an interview with Em for quite a while unless you know something the rest of the board doesn't, and it's also a fact that he hasn't talked about jay-z, pac or nas for a long time and that when he does he's not just doing it to name-drop and associate himself with them but because they're icons in the rap game

I agree with Tash8, Em shouldn't have collabd with Akon, Akon sucks, his texts are wack n he's got one of the most annoying voices on the planet plus he seems to be lacking the average amount of brain cells a human has making stupid comments and dry-humping a 14-year-old on stage - I guess it's obvious I'm not a fan.

you groupies sure stick together. I never said anything about a 'published' interview. And my point had actually nothing to do with what Tru said, it was just the fact she was so quick to defend him, and i was half-joking

Anyway, agree w/ u and Tash bout em not working w/ akon, he's a joke. I'm assuming Em wanted a club banger and just said 'i can get almost anyone, who are they bang'n in the clubs now, Akon. I don't think smack that is a song thats designed to stick around and be a fan favorite, just perfect for making all young kids and groupie type people want the album. All his fans buy the album for the other songs, so its a win win. I woulndn't expect to see them colabing again (fingers crossed)

I wouldn't mind eminem and akon doing another song but only akon singin the hook who cares about his personal life he makes good hooks he sucks at rappin thats why smack that sucked and if he went in on a eminem song and did a hook like he did in ghetto it would be tight

quotes are getting long so i i wont use them any more

I was refering to eminem's cd's.

theres no doubt about it Akon has the (just gessing) 10-15 year old croud, who purchase alot of cds. ems cd's sell to hip hop fans regardless, but if you can get a club banger out there w/ akon it generates a new fan base for him.

i guess how i should have worded it was that em was thinking "yes i'll do this w/ akon, it can only help sales"

also missed someone calling you out - No shame in defending yourself (sorry bout the groupie thing, it was a joke anyway... seems to be a real touchy issue round here)

and bout the interviews thats exactly what i mean again. What do you call a real interview. if you mean like a set up time and place, thats an official interview. Me asking a police officer on the street, "how long have you been a cop" "2 years" "cool, see ya" .. thats a real interview

again, nuttin but luv TruEmFan

btw, ^ i hate your sig :p but that's probably cause I'm a guy.

em making a smash hit in "smack that" means he gets more fans.. means more people who like him, which means more albums sales.

lol Word up. I feel anyone who kknows the words to all like 350 Em songs, even the bad ones, is a groupie. The music starts off better just cause you know its em. You listen to the songs just cause its Em in hopes of it being great. I don't care waht the definition of groupie is.. I defanatly AM A GROUPIE. when did the word get negative connotations anyway? doesn't it just mean like an enthusiastic fan? any Much luv for u and all em fans

also waht tash said.. they don't buy it for that song they buy it cause "oh my good this is the white boy that akon sings with" kinda shit

ps. Akon still sux

groupie means a Devoted Young Fan, but people turned it into a bad thing...

in that definition, i am a groupie.. cause i get excited when eminem is dropping an album, do I automatically love it? no... I only listen to like 10 eminem songs now a days, only his great ones like stan, marshall mathers, rock bottom, sing for the moment, till i collapse and etc. those are his real songs, not My name is and shit.

to be honest "Smack That" and even his Encore album were smart business moves. a large majority of his fans are pop listeners and like that retarded shit that he does, so having an album consisting mostly pointless songs is good for album sales when you have that many pop fans listening to your shit. same applies to smack that, pop fans like Akon cuz he's almost kinda down that road. so put Akon's shit and Eminem together and it makes one orgasmic song for the pop listeners.
