I don't understand why though, if you can't lyrically write then you shouldn't be a rapper.

in a perfect world maybe, but the music industry is a buisness worth millions of pounds a year, if some guy got the lyrics but not the right look or mentality then they become very rich ghostwriters, sucks coz if you cant write and spit the lyrics then your pointless but thats just how ti works :sweating:

But Eminem ghostwrites for a lot of people, and he obviously had a certain "look." It doesn't work that way for ALL ghostwriters. But I agree, a lot of the people who are behind the scenes ghostwriters had the talent, but not the look, and weren't considered to be the "full package. " In the end, they're secretly paid A TON of money to help give someone who has the look seem like they also have the talent too.

You need to have the full package to get mainstream praise.

There has always been plenty of speculation on Eminem ghostwriting for people, he was supposed to have written LL Cool J's rebuttal to Canibus in their feud. He did write all the lyrics for Guilty Conscience, which Dre was in, but there's no Proof either way to suggest he did on any other tracks. Only obvious one I can think of is "Forgot About Dre", Dre's lyrics on that track are amazin, outshining even Eminems (Which is something not even the best emcees can do), this in my opinion was Eminem's gift to Dre for bringing him into Rap. Those lyrics have Eminem's style written all over them, the multies, the flow and the kind of word rhyming that no other rappers do. As far as Ghost writing for 50 Cent goes, I don't agree about that, his verse on never enough is good, but not good enough to say it's Eminems, although Eminem's verse on that is nothing special either imho. There are some tracks on "Get Rich Or Die Trying" that Fifty uses multi-syllable rhyming, but he doesn't do it on tracks on his next album. This to me suggests that Eminem helped him out with the lyrics to make his debut album as successful as it could possibly be. And I remember 50 saying in an interview, that he would sometimes finish a track, and Eminem would then teach him ways to tighten up and make it flow better.

I read somewhere ^ that 50 would finish a track's lyrics, eminem would read it and tell him to redo it..

I doubt anyone ghost writes for eminem seeing how's he's better than 90% of the other rappers lyrically.
