Metaphores/similies/etc

Postby Tash8 » Jun 27th, '07, 01:26

we should have a category just for those

and other's doesn't could because people only use that for enjoyment

metahpores/similies/wordplay are more important that having a rhymes and multis section why dont we just make one cat for that called Rhymes/Multis and then add that category

^well the thing is most people dont even know what they were, all they really look for are multis, when really wordplay, metaphores and similies are more important

Definetly not feeling this idea, I'm really against the idea of putting too much focus on methaphors and other english literature features. Content is king, regardless of how it's composed and if you can incorporate features into your writing, all the better, but creating dedicated sections for these is going overboard.

multis get noticed way too much, and people basically just vote on whether's multis and people sometimes ignore the fact that it doesn't even make sense

so you better start feelin it

Adding a section for every detail isnt gonna boost feedback, ur just gonna get less action in each section.

U have creative writing, if someone doesnt notice ur multis or some shit... well thats obviously because they dont care to read it attentively.

i think yall got it confused....
i aint gonna implement it as a regular feature but we were gonna test it in a exibition match or 2 and see da output...
some sites like rapdogs are highly based on metas , similies , wordplay

TR is popular for multies , rhymes , complexity

and adding a new cat doesnt need admin permissions .........
and how will it reduce voting...its just a new cat added to the current cats which are
flow ,struct,punch , multi , rhymes , personals ,complexity , vocab, nameplay , Other( metas , enjoyment , origanilty , humor)

so takin out metas/similies from the generalized cat of OTHERS and adding it as a new cat doesnt have a problem...

its not like creatin a sub forum or watever.....

That's what TR thinks Tash is saying, and the way you sid it Tash, it does seem like that.

By the way Tash, I posted a matephores/similies cypher a long time ago, and nobody bothered to try them. I'll try to find it and bump it for ya.

Oh, it seemed like you wanted a seperate sub-forum for metaphors and such.
Do what you guys think is best in terms of rules and threads you create etc, you don't need to come
to me for that. Still unsure of what you mean, but as it makes no changes to forum structure,
it's all good.

i think its funny that people get text and audio mixed up :n:

enimee did it aswell, saying we should focus on what you mentioned, witch is true in audio rap battles multi's mean next to nothing and what you mentioned is eveything, but it isnt audio battles, it isnt a rap battle, its text and in text people will grasp onto the multi's ect. more than the wordplay, i remember a while ago i was syaing to cgame how loads of people were throwing around great wordplay and metaphors but they were getting noticed and in the cats people were getting nameplay/wordplay mixed up badly and people were ignoring comparisons, me and cgame tried to fix it back then to make it higher standard battles but it didnt work

anywae, what you mentioned is more important in audio battles on a stage infront of 60 people not when its text on a forum
