Hey, that all sonds great and all, but what is meant by "dedicated"?

^ Correct we get a server all to ourselves meaning not only will other sites on the same server not slow us down but we'll have a much faster Dual Core Processor, 300% more ram and 4 times the bandwidth.

Gonna start the upgrade tonight, although site usage may be affected for a maximum 48 hours afterwards.

Matz, I think you're exaggerating man, I always used the light grey skin too, and I actually prefer this one now, it's much cooler looking. And the set-up like avatar on the right side, and some other new features might actually keep new members rather than turn em away. I think the speed is a more important factor, and that might (if even) cause new members to turn off. But, the key for me to a forum being addictive, is obviously the members. The members on this forum are amongst the coolest of any board. Once people post a few times, they will soon feel welcome, as it has always been.

well your on to the speed problem

the new topics link which told you how many new topics there had been since last time you had logged on is a big down

not liking the blackness.....doesn't look as clean or user friendly

links don't load in new windows

i no you see these as small things but its da minor things that decide weather you go to a site or not

i find myself not visiting the site so often anymore because its simply not as accesible as the old forum.....yeh the main bit i miss is the new topics link

thats the problem im having with it that and its not as easy to navigate

Yeah, i've figured that out, that's a cool thing to know actually. I haven't seen that on forums before, or haven't noticed it. I' only knew there was markers for New posts, and No new posts.

yeah, I remember Asp asking TR for something like this not too long ago, cos he was unsure what topics he had and hadn't visited. I`m sure it'll be very useful.

It was requested by someone here a few days ago, it was a feature of the board and has been for years, lol
(the last skin has a litte red star to indicate you have posted there.

Though it's anoter example of it being impossible to keep everyone happy,
people complain cause they want the feature, then others complain because it ruins appearance ..
