Yeah, that's what I said. It's probably because he was putting more effort into his delivery and saying he's lyrics with more passion. It was good that he matured a bit more on his future record though, I wasn't a fan of his earlier voice.

Eminems quickest spit on major albums are probably "The Way I Am" and "Till I Collapse", the flow on those is far better than previous records, his voice has nothing to do with that. On "Got It Twisted/Fubba You Cubba Cubba" He also spat one of his fastest verses. So it's not as if he still couldn't do the faster flows, he just got more into storytelling and delivering songs with meaning, and making the lyrics easier to undeerstand sometimes is a factor in those songs, so that the average non hip-hop listeners could also understand and connect with the material.

His fastest song though flow wise, is "Biterphobia" his flow on that is off the charts, and anything on SSLP or other albums is slow by comparison.

Totally agree with that, in Fuckin' Backstabber he's also fast. Sometimes I can't even make out the words.

i've definitely noticed the change in his voice but i personally think it has more to do with variation than either age or maturity.

in the MMLP, TES, and Encore he showed a variety of different styles throughout the records. his age might have played a part, but i think it was based mostly on his increased focus on his music's sound.

Drugs and smoking make your voice sound differnt and if you all remember correctly, he enterd Detox and is apparently Clean now.. so that could have something to do with it

4D wrote:The first notable change is from Infinite to The SLim Shady L.p. On Infinite he hasn't any real confidence in his delivery or his voice, or if he does he doesn't inject emotion into the lyrics. On The Slim Shady L.P his delivery is much better, but his voice is slightly higher. On The MMLP and The Eminem Show, his voice has improved a lot, and he has found a more manly voice. I don't think his voice has changed since then, it's just him messing around with southern slang and other styles, on "Ass Like That", "Fack", "Smack That" and "Touch Down". On most of the tracks on Encore, and on other newer ones like "The Most Shady", "There They Go", "You Don't Know", "Public Enemy" and "No Apologies" his voice is fine. So we won't know the answer to a question like this until we hear a full album of new songs. i`m sure he'll still do some tracks with the weird styles and voices that a lot of people don't like.

P.s I can't believe people actually think he's doing the southern slang to actually be like them, it's just his funny way of dong things, it's just a joke, he's not tryin' to actually be T.I.

I agree with everything. I think his voice has turned more manly and it's just 'cause he has fully grown up now. I also don't think he really has that southern slang or wants to be like T.I. - he doesn't need it. Maybe he's just bored and tries something new on some songs or something. We'll see after the new album comes out.
