Apple Basket question:

the contents are always mismatched sooo.... >


U go to pick an apple in the Pear basket, to find out that its mismatched and that its an apple. Then u automatically know that in the "Apple basket" theres Pears & Apples and in the "apples and pears" theres Apples only... Coz they are mismatched.

Edit: come to think of it, my first guess is wrong too.. Theres 2 uncertain baskets still, so I think the choice of the basket to pick should be the A + P, its mislabeled so watever u pick, u still know that under P- theres apples, and under A- theres pears.

u pick a fruit randomly from the APPLE and PEAR labeled basket

if its an apple
den u can label that particular basket as APPLE

one basket solved...

well wats left is a basket falsly labled as Apple and Pears

And in the basket that is falsly labled Pears the posiiblities are Apples and Pears/Apples

so since we found out da Apple containin basket we can change da label of Pears to Apple/Pears

and da last one is Pears
