They'd probably say "Damn, we fucked that shit up by leaving so early!"
Jam Master Jay was gone from mainstream way berore he died anyway, and hadn't realy contributed himself to hip-hop since the early nineties. Eazy-E was great in N.W.A but i've never been a fan of his solo work, so his opinion on it doesn't bother me. 2Pac Biggie, Pun and Big L, were 4 of the great lyricists of the nineties, and I think they would be disgusted at the way hip-hop has turned in favour of crunk bullshit and club bangers. But, hip-hop has always been like that, one side: real emcees doing it for the artform, and the other side: assholes with an image doin' it for the cash (Only very rarely has there been rappers who could do it all, like 2 Pac, Nas, Jay-Z and EMinem). It's always been like that, so if they had been here, there'd probably be nothin' they could have done about it, except look down on it or conform. Either way, it still would have happened. Hip-hop will always be changing and trying to expand on what it already is, which is all cool, once you don't forget the roots and the fundamentals. If it's not about the lyrics, the flow and the beat (in 1 package) i`m not interested. If it's floor stomping beats great, but if the lyrics are kack, it's rubbish. That's when it disgraces the name of hip-hop.
