Who's Brandy?

in sum rap songs ppl use the name Brandy. like in the song Jealousy Woes II by eminem he says "Brandy never felt so broken hearted" n in the song Me and My Girlfriend by 2Pac he says "17 like Brandy u just wanna b down" n the name is in a few other songs that i can't think of right now. so like r they makin a reference 2 the same person or r they just coincidences?
