What'd you think of the Eminem in Re Up

Postby Tash8 » Nov 28th, '07, 04:23

I thought that he did pretty good... it wasn't near mmlp besides No Apologies, but i thought it was 20x better than Encore, and it got me hyped up for another album.

I liked it and and he really didn't have any bad songs on it. My favorite was the Re-up and No Apologies, he had a good voice on both. :y:

Eh.. i wasnt too crazy about it.. especially since he didnt have that many good solo songs like TruEmFan sayd.. besides No Apologies (which i think most ppl can agree on)
i did like public enemy, jimmy crack corn n a few others
but i dont even think it was better than Encore really.. cuz in my opinion his good songs (evil deeds, never enough, toy soliders, yellow brick road, mockingbird, etc, etc.) were better than tha songs he was featured on in the Re-Up

He did decent on it. Again, it wasn't anything like The Eminem Show days, but it was deffinetly better than Encore in my eyes. No Apologies is a classic song, and Public Enemy #1 is another great short song. His features were okay, but again, he shines most on his solo tracks like TruEm said....

it was a step in the right direction, however, couldve been better...

i personally thought no apologies was a little on the weak side. the beat was too simple and his lyrics were recycled and he was using too angry of a voice. just my opinion and is very debatable because i know a lot who really liked the song.

jimmy crack corn: nice flow, not the best lyrics, but he flowed well over the beat.

the re-up: id say his best lyrical performance on the re-up... i really liked this one

public enemy # 1: worse track on there.. it made encore look like the mmlp

were back: also very good and very powerful lyrics.. reminded me of the outro on cheers which is a good thing

i really like Public Enemy #1. the whole vibe on it is great how the beat changes at the end and the whole song really

Jimmy Crack Corn for me wasnt all that , i mean 50 killed him on it , the hook was good but the verses from Em cant be heard again and again

Re Up was good but again not all that but still sick

You Dont Know was the real deal,

pretty much the worst would be Jimmy Crack Corn (Em's verses specially the second verse)

No Apologies was great just the beat coudve bin better

im reffering to the comments on here and all throughout the forum over the last few months, i just dont get why everyone says 1 minute an album is ded cool awesome ect... then in the next breath they say oh it ent that good ect... it stupid.

its not meant to be a dig at everybody cuz there a lot of us on here that either like or dislike summit and stick with that opinion it just seems that most jump on hype bandwagons just to fit in but anyways back to the topic in hand

as it wud be a shame to see this thread go right of topic:) im a nice guy really just got firm views and blunt lol

I liked No Apologies (one of his best songs period) and Public Enemy #1 the best, but the other songs were ok to me. I didn't really expect a whole lot of great songs from the Re-Up since I knew it wasn't his album and it was really to show off the people on his label, so it's hard to compare it to Encore. They're two completly different albums. One is a solo album were Em was doing about 16 songs (not counting the skits or the bonus songs) with only a few songs that had features whereas the on the other he only has a few songs to start with and on most of those songs he has someone featured on it. I wouldn't say Encore was trash, even if some of the songs were bad it's not fair to say the whole album was. I do skip a lot of songs on Encore but I think there were some really good songs on there too.

it just made me forget about Encore for a while :y:
even though it had a lot of other artists, the songs he was on were definetly better than anything after 2003, except for maybe when im gone
