It just didn't made the cut maybe, or maybe the guys from Interscope/Aftermath didn't wanted it on the LP

Probably.
Also - I thought the quality of that song was terrible. The lyrics were good, but the overall quality was just below average.
Tash8 wrote:no bar, the beat is probably sampled, so who ever produced it probably doesn't want to get sued over it.. so they didn't give the beat permission... you know?

Huh? What didn't you like about it specifically? The beat, or Eminem's performance of it?

I tend to disagree. I think the lyrics and the performance and delivery of them by the artist are what ultimately make/break a song. I mean, 50 Cent and Kanye have some sick beats and production going on at times and 95% of the shit they put out is garbage because they're garbage rappers. I don't consider their shit 60% good just because the beats are phat and the production is flawless sometimes.
It's rare that a bad beat will ruin an absolutely SICK lyrical performance from a rapper for me.

i know, im talking about the production quality for a track to make and album, you could take a sick lyrical perfomence, flawless flow and shit to a record company and coz the beat comes on and the snare is distorted and the pella has too much reverb the A&R is goni stop and not even listen.
and on the note of 50 cent n stuff, yeh they suck but the reason there shitty songs with shitty lyrics get so many fans and played on radio stations is because of the beats and the production quality.
its sorta sad to admit but if a guy has great production and really bad rapping they can be a succes in the industry (soulja boy, 50 cent) but if they have great skillls and shit production there's no way theyll make it
there is acceptions, and i myself hate soulja boy n shit but thats just the way it is
McMaybe wrote:Ok. Moron. There is a certain unwritten standard. Radio wont play your song if they can play a better quality song, MTV wont put a video of a low quality song (production wise), and stores wont hold low quality products (production wise). The song was good lyricly, but failed in the mixing and production department, eminems verse has a lot of fuck-ups and bad structure, etc. It was not a quality rack, it was a crappy filler. if you liked it, fine.. Who cares? Dr.Dre didnt think it was good enough to put on an album that was going to be distributed world wide. Settled.
Yeah but just because 50 enjoys commercial success doesn't mean he's any good or has any talent, Even if the quality of "Low, Down, Dirty" is shit, I don't care. It's a great performance by Eminem IMO and that's good enough for me to call it a classic and I think it should ahve eben included with all the other classics from TSSLP.
Don't you think the production of some of the other non-Dre songs on TSSLP straight from the EP are of similar quality to "Low, Down, Dirty"?
