Encore. The breakdown!

There are alot of people with the same opinion! Encore is lame. Personally I dont see where you are coming from. That albums has some heavy tunes featured on it.

Yellow brick road; Nice production and a interesting look into Ems past. The flows are on par too.
Like toy soldiers; Heavy production, Sick flows plus he spills his heart. Sickkk tunage
Just lose it; His club banger, 1 for all nostalgic crew. (Not 1 for its lyrics)
Spend some time; Pure sickness. Heavy bizzle
Mockingbird; sick flows. Top tune
Crazy in love; Crazy production, He put his neck on the line and pulled it off imo

Maybe I am hearing something different to you. Let me know your views.

Dont get me wrong, he has released better albums, I know that. But that doesnt take anything away from this album.

I think people agree that it does have some good songs. The thing is though it was littered with crap, unlike his previous albums. ( Big Weenie, Rain Man, Just lose it, ass like that, my First single etc..)

I have nothing against Encore and I enjoy it, im just saying I think a lot of people hate on it because even though it's good at it's core there are some bad songs on there.

I like certain songs on Encore too, don't get me wrong. "Mosh", "Yellow Brick Road", "Like Toy Solders" And "Mockingbird" are all OK.

But seriously, while I like the messages and effort he put in, that shit still isn't up to par in a lot of ways for an Eminem track. His delivery/voice and even the rhymes themselves. Most of these wouldn't have made the cut on a 2002-and-prior Eminem album.

There is one song on encore that i like that most other people dont, and thats rain man. I like the song for one main reason. at the end of the song he says "and i dont even gotta make no god damn sense i just did a whole song and i didnt say shit"

he can put that shit out and people still fucking listen to it, thats the only reason he made that song was to prove that as long as somethings catchy it really doesnt matter what the lyrics are.

People expected Em to release a classic, which is why they were so disappointed. If Encore would've been someone else's album, we'd praise it, but since we're talking about Em here, people couldn't forget his previous 3 albums. I personally don't hate on it, but I don't love it either. It has great songs like 'Mosh', but the album overall isn't that great 'cause I can't listen to it without skipping tracks. So, I'd say Encore wasn't a great album, but an album that contained some great songs.

If someone like Jay-Z or 50 Cent would release an album like Encore the media would say that it's the best record of theyr carrer.

I see your point, but I disagree. GRODT is better than Encore and Jay-z has had several better albums.

I thought Encore was his worst album to date.. it had some good tracks.. i liked the tracks Yellow brick road, Never enough, Mosh and Encore the best.
the rest of the album i didnt care for much.

I cant say it was a bad album... its just that every other album previous to Encore was insane!
Infinite, SS, MM, ES, and even the 8mile soundtrack were all classics in my books!
Encore just didnt meet the same expectations

all these songs are sick along with Evil Deeds, Mosh and Never Enough
