HEADLINES : Rumor Killer: Eminem and Britney Spears Coming to WWE?

- Several "credible" wrestling websites reported a rumor this morning that 20-plus time Platinum rapper Eminem was headed to WWE. The report stated that Eminem had been training for sometime now to make his professional wrestling debut and would be taking part in an active career in the sport, not just some appearance.

Our sources within WWE are telling us this is totally false. If it is going on, then it is being kept extremley quiet within WWE, extremley. Eminem is currently working on D-12's new album as well as his own album which releases next year. Also in the works for the rapper is his new film, Have Gun Will Travel which is being produced by he and Dr. Dre's “Interscope/Shady/Aftermath Films."

So, what about a one-time appearance, maybe WrestleMania 24? That's still pushing it. Eminem's next CD won't release until next Spring at least, so doing an appearance at this year's WrestleMania would serve no purpose to him really. Em has several business ventures, including his own very successful record label, so him taking on a full-time professional wrestling career is just laughable.

But, what about Britney Spears? Our source tells us this is also a bogus rumor. It was reported last month, again by several "credible" wrestling websites and newsletters, that Britney Spears would be coming to WWE for some kind of storyline soon. Our source tells us that this was just a ploy by WWE, just a planted story. WWE ran the various Britney related items on their website just for fun, just to pick up on all the Britney hype that has been going on lately, and hoping at the same time the wrestling dirt sheets and gossip sites would run with it, and they did.

So there you have it, for now, all of you Eminem and Britney Spears fans don't hold your breath while waiting to see them in a WWE ring.

I can picture Spears being the crazy whacked out character that comes into the ring in a straight jacket. But anything farther than that, like actual wrestling...kinda hard to imagine.

but it doesnt seem ryt..

and somewhere arnd 2002-2003 vince has said to be in contact wit eminem for an WMania appearance..
