Interesting question.....I believe it to be a Eskimo Bowline knot but discussions with friends long into the early hours have got me thinking that it may possibly be a Monkey's Fist knot .

well i just fold the bandanna corner to corner but not all the way, take one corner maybe 1/2 way toward the other corner and then fasten it by doing the first step to tying shoes, but twice, and it's done
