Posts in Eminem News Section should be locked after a week or two. It's very annoying when some idiot comes in and bumps a topic 6 months old, and the headline doesn't ring a bell. You then read half the article before realising it's ancient news.

Sort it out lads!

On another forum that I frequent, a warning comes up when you are about to reply to a topic that's over 30 days old:

It is against the rules to make a reply to an old topic unless under special circumstances such as, but not limited to, the topic's discussion has died but there is new striking evidence to turn thoughts around or saying thank you for the author. A reply with information that is relevant and useful is allowed.

I think this is perfect, and would do the job. Although saying thank you is not, imo, reason for bumping a very old topic.

they should be locked on post and not be allowed to have any disussion what so ever

im sick of members giving abuse when i post news, also sick of them telling me its old news when it isnt old.

Well we could actually solve two problems here. There's a problem with too much chat and bumping of old topics in the news section, and a problem of people wanting to discuss the latest articles in the EMinem section.

We should just post the news article, lock it, but add a link to a discussion thread for that article in the Eminem section. This way the latest news stays in the right order. And the news articles have a proper discussion topic. Then, if anyone has any complaints about a news topic being old or fake, they can p.m a mod or admin, without making shit out of a good topic.
