I haven't been here in awhile. I see a lot of old faces (or screennames, that's actually the more appropriate term), but more new ones. Kinda makes me uneasy... the unfamiliar is never something easy to deal with. Unless it was like, moving out and going off to the real world... that'd be cool... Ahh, forget that. That's a long story.


So what's new at TR? Did any of the cool people ever come back? Like, Dani, Winnie, Asp?

Are there still a shit load of retards that make stupid posts and drive away members because of their idiocy? Cuz that's sort of what happened to me... I left cuz there were too many things here that just bugged the shit outta me. But now, the other forum I go to, they're starting to annoy me too... I guess it's like a cycle on the Net.

For those that want to know what's going in TRU's life, not much. Same old shit... school and sleep. Except right now, it's more school than sleep. A lot more. I'm also single and lonely. I want a boyfriend. Yeah, that'd be cool. And as far as the music in my life... It ain't Hip-Hop! Lol. Don't listen to much of it... I still listen the old stuff, but as far as any new artists... not so much. It's just too depressing.

& yea. havee they taken over my lifee completely. lol. since my freshmen year has ended. im finally getting timee for myself. finallly timee for boyfriend too. so he will stop complaining i attend new york university. loveee it. my dream college & im majoring in journalismm

Well said. Hip hop seems to be a dying breed, taken over by ringtone rappers and whack ass fake gansters. We need some true emcee's to join the game or come back with some fire. I think also the problem is, put simply, that these rappers who we do respect and want to hear from keep pushing back shit. Seems like a lot of posts are about old em shit and old songs and times when it seemed to make more sense, it was all about the music and great songs. Now we are stuck remembering instead of enjoying new shit and talking about it.

You go to NYU? I'm so jealous! That is MY dream school! I'm applying there next semester. It's not just the application and acadmics that I have to worry about, but money too since it's out of state for me. I won't get any of the California grants they offer. But I'm gonna apply no matter what, just to see if I'll get in.

@ Tru: i pretty much understand why you don't like him and it's totally ok with me. i'm not saying he was a perfect man, because he wasn't and the hatred against whites and things he said - it hurt, but he was right at some point. what i admire him for, is that he had the courage to say it and wasn't bothered by the people who tried to shut him up. he fought for what he believed in, and when he changed his mind - he just did it. i mean, many people seem to be blind and don't want to change their views. and he was so deep in his hatred against the white world and despite it he still managed to turn his life upside down. i'm glad you read the book too, now it makes 2 of us
