Game to movie?

So, there's a lot of computer and videogames that turned into movies. Like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alone In The Dark, Doom, Tomb Raider etc. But what computer/videogame would you like to see turn into a movie?

I'd love to see Half-Life (the first) as a movie. Damn that would be dope!

Halo, hands down. I believe they're in the process of making a movie for it. Last I heard it should be coming out in 2009. I think they've been working on it for a long time aswell. But I'd deffinetly love to see a movie based on the game. With the amazing technology and cgi that's out there, it would look incredible.

Thing is, ok, we ve seen Res.Evil, Mortal Kombat, and all the commercial games that sell like toothpicks (excluding GTA series who are actually taken FROM movies), and most of them just blow. I think its time for hollywood to put some money in the whole game-to-movie thing and i propose the Elder Scrolls games. They are not commercial games, they appeal to limited target group BUT as movies they can be as great as LOTR. And then you have COD4 as the classic war/anti-war movie (although i would like it to be less good-vs-bad, in both occassions)

Still, the best game/book/comic-to-movie attempt is the one and only Conan.

Medal of Honor Allied Assault was partly made off SPR.....and it kinda sucked.

I actually hope they DON'T make a movie out of Metal Gear. The series is a masterpiece itself and shouldn't be fucked around with by horrible writing. Besides, why make it into a movie when the Metal Gear series is already half cinematic? Why tamper with the story when it's already good by itself? I never understood that about some game->movie ideas.

Games like Tomb Raider I could understand because Lara Croft supposedly has a lot of adventures and I guess the movies could be like another adventure or something. Or Doom, where the story is very basic and general and can be adapted into a lot of possibilities.

Resident Evil Apocalypse and Extinction, for example of a fuck up though, made me lose ALL respect for the series. The first movie was slightly plausible, it intertwined with the original story slightly. But the last two were just horrendous. It deviated too much from the story and became a generic horror movie, which was actually a horror itself!

The only way I could imagine Hideo Kojima signing off for MGS to be made into some sort of movie would be if it were a small anime side story about Gray Fox or some other small character, kind of like Zack in FF7's The Last Order.

And if anyone actually DOES touch the Metal Gear series and makes it into a horrible looking movie, I WILL actually protest it.

Umm, I remember reading that it was an idea, and Em was supposed to be in it, but they decided against making it a movie. Probably a rumor, but that's what I read here.
