Illmatic vs. Infinite

in infinite, the rhymes/punches/wordplay (313 anyone) is way better (what do you expect, it's eminem)

in illmatic, the flow and beats are allot better


it's a battle between lyrics and quality really

I want someone to give a reason for why they think Illmatic or Infinite

Too me, on Illmatic Nas had the opportunity of working with the best beats that could be provided. Eminem didn't really have anything and I feel he layed down just as, or better rhymes. Plus, his wordplay was beautiful, his flow was nice.

Of course, he basically copied Illmatic, but I feel he did it better, and songs like Infinite, Never 2 Far, Tonite, It's OK, all rival Life's a Bitch, It ain't hard to tell, and The World is Yours, which are some of my favorite Nas stuff ever.

I really like both though I found Illmatic a bit hard to like in the beginning compared to Infinite which I liked straight away.

People did say around the time of The Slim Shady EP that Eminem was copying Nas and AZ.
