Anyway, I can't choose a best hook from Em. I think that's one of his strongest points though as an artist because there are so many rappers out there that can't make a good hook. Whether it's because of lyrics or the way they flow. But Em just does it with ease.

But he doesn't sing in every hook

The point of hooks is to make it catchy and sum up the song. Em does that so easily in his songs. He doesn't needs the likes of T-Pain (who can't even sing well without that stupid voicebox ) or Neyo on each track. And he doens't sample hooks as much as other rappers either.

i know, but he does sing in a lot of his hooks and those are annoying.. i'd much prefer a hook like the way i am or such, don't get me wrong he can do some great singing hooks like Marshall Mather's hook, like Hailies' Song's hook, but sometimes not so much

@ 4D I always thought that line from The Way I Am would have been much stronger if he had said "I am whatever you say I am. If I wasn't, then why would you say I am?".

That's exactly why it's so great, I`m surprised you've missed the point. That's what the listener expects, you kinda double take, but he didn't say it, then you think, oh ya he did. It's a hundred times better the way he did it than what you are saying Tru, that's the whole point of it.

either Lose Yourself because of the energy put into the track, The Way I Am, probably the best emotion put into the song making a point , Low Down Diry or I'm Shady

one that I really like (from an Obie Trice song tho) is the "Lady" hook... it's not a good hook, it's 2 great hooks put together, which makes it pretty impressive. it might not be the most effective, since a lot of people might prefer just one catchy chorus to make it easier to remember, but personally I really like it.

from his own songs, it would have to be like others said, Lose Yourself, Hailie's Song, The Way I Am etc..
