Em & Royce: Who Outshined Who?

Postby ShadyMathers » Jul 10th, '08, 23:36

Who do you think outshined who on the tracks that they've done together? I left out Rock City since Em only done the chorus and not not a verse

Nuttin' To Do (Royce)
Scary Movies (Even)
Bad Meets Evil (Even)
Renegade (Eminem)
She's The One (Royce)
What The Beat (w/Method Man) (Even)
Damn right I like the live, cause I went from negative to positive - Biggie (Juicy)

I'm the type to snap in heaven with a mack 11 & rape Christ! - Big L

Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it? - Jay-Z (Renegade)

I'll never have dinner with the president! - Ice Cube to Eazy-E (No Vaseline)

None outshined the other; it's what made them working together so great.

Any track Eminem has featured on he has pretty much owned the other person, with the possible exception of Renegade. Em and Royce together was good because they were both as skilled as each other.

i agree with kez, that no one outshone one another, but not for the same reason...

it's not that they had the same skills but rather both had great skills in different areas, so when you heard on a song, you think to yourself this song had everything, this had flow, this had lyrics, this had comedy this had hardcoreness... each person brought different thing to the song and together they were like 50% + 50% = 100%

Well said. Just like Proof did, Royce has this certain chemistry with Em that not many people can match up to. They're both very good at what they do, and by the way they sound together, you can tell they study each other.

yea a similie would be... Royce and Eminem matched like puzzle pieces in a sense..

@ steve, nah man, proof and eminem never had the same rapper chemistry that royce and eminem had, which is why they never made collab songs together.

When I was talking about Proof and Em's chemistry, I was talking about when they freestyle together, and are on stage together. I should have made that specific earlier. You're crazy if you think they don't have ANY chemistry though, lol.
