haha edited

"I fucked up.... Psych, I'm kidding again you idiot, no I didn't That's just what you wanted to hear from me Is that I fucked up ain't it? But I can bust one take without lookin' at no paper It doesn't take a bunch of takes Or me to stand here in this booth all day For me to say the truth, ok?

This line in in Big weenie always stood out to me and marshall wants us to know its important cause the way he flow is completely different than in the rest of the song like hes trying to get a point across ..

i never really understood what he meant.. knowing that he fucked up but hes still saying hes got it and can show that he hasnt lost his talent.like he knew people would say after listening to the album ????

i dont know if that makes any sense

^^I'd like to think that that's what he meant by that. He could have just been talking aboput how the song stopped before that though.

And I always love when Tru and 4D have these huge thread with good posts because it's fun to read. :worship:

i dont think so... He get more serious in that line he speeds his flow up n its got a lil anger in it and then changes it back to how the rest of the song was.

And its really only the couple lines in the song that make any sense at all. the rest of the song honestly is kind of pointless . So why would he write a couple lines that make us think he was tryin to say something important in a song that is absolutely nothing ???

the greatest, die in a sad way, they get assassinated.. One of the most recognized presidents besides george washington is John F. Kennedy and it's mainly because of how he died. of course to a certain extent you have to be great at what you do.

But why are you apprehensive to believe Em won't be one and 2Pac will? If it's the matter of time, and it's too recent to tell, I can understand that.

It's because I never hear about him anymore, no one besides eminem fans care about eminem anymore.. at least where i live, i haven't heard eminem bumped more than one or two times, when i'm bumping eminem in a car, i ask a friend do you know this song and he's like who's it by and i'm like eminem and he shakes his head like its an evil thing to do haha.. mabye it's different other places, but that's the way i see it around here.

^ well bob dylan and elvis careers were over before many of us were born, so it'd make sense that we really aren't affected by them... it's the older generations that are...

I hear 2pac being played, not a lot by any means but he is played..

i honestly don't know, we'll have to wait and see

That was a good read. I think that what will happen next, is that after studying over his last albums, and how he mixed his 3 different persona's together with Encore, yet sacrificed his lyrics for it, i think he is now realizing how he can have great flow and great lyrics at the same time, and i hope that is what he is realizing, hoping that he does that for his next album.

hmm interesting point but i dno........

i think encore turned out the way it did because it leaked....if we as americans, love you more and ricky ticky toc hadnt of leaked they would have been on the main cd......and eminem wouldn't have had to quickly make 3 or 4 "filler" tracks such as big weenie, my first single, ass like that etc

take those 3 or 4 out, put the tracks on the bonus cd in....that guy probs wouldn't of made me read his eminem essay

I think it was just the way the song may no sense and the hook was kind of whack in my opinion, lyrical yes, just not the song you would want to one of the most lyrical on that album.

And it's the same way with Elvis... No one really cares about Elvis anymore. Only the people that do, and visit Graceland and that whole deal, are the Elvis fanatics.

But that doesn't make them less of an icon. I mean, I guess it's something that just takes time, at least for you to believe in.

Since you brought it up, my dad is an Elvis fanatic, not the "I go to Graceland every year" type, but he still plays his records (yes vinyls) at least once a week, and everytime there is something with Elvis in the newspaper he clips it out, usually tiny articles and whatnot, he has at least 75 of them and he's been doing it no longer than a year, so I just thought I'd mention that Elvis is still talked about today, and obviously a lot. Sorry I know it's off topic but I thought it's kind of interesting.

I always had this theory in the back of my mind, in 2003 eminem ruled the world. he had the eminem show out, 8 mile ,the sound track, 50 cent. it was alot of pressure he went though, where did he get the time to work on encore he musta only spent 6 months on it or less overall. i think he just jost lost it and went crazy with encore, threw his fans off and disapeard to clear his head. we havin nothin but great things to look forward to, eminem has probaly been workin on this cd more then n e other. royce and him are reunited, hes got his head cleared spent some time with hailie and gained a little weight. theres no doubt in my mind he will come back stronger then ever, and shut up people who think lil wayne is the best rapper alive.
