and yes, i understand what you are saying. it's horrible what's going on over there, it shouldn't be happening. never at any time should somebody be stripped of everything, etc... but those particular actions are not what i'm questioning the law for.

Well since its almost impossible to monitor which girls are forced, or do it for money. Since you cant know that, and ALOT of girls who are in legalised red light districts here still are still the import girls yoshi talks about. I know a guy who goes to poland 4 times a year to get these girls, he just searches for the poorest, tells them theres a bright future in Holland and they end up being prostitutes. (and before someone starts whining no i dont think thats cool).

But actually i cant debate on this topic cause its legal here, im not sure why, maybe because there will be less rapings and because its the oldest proffesion in the world. They try to monitor it here to make sure all the girls are there for theirselfs, but once in a while u hear a story of a hooker getting hit so hard by her pimp that she died so it aint all good there yet.

I'd just like to add that, even with your stance against slavery, sex slavery may go hand in hand with prostitution. I mean if prostitution becomes legalized, it will become a business right? In our capitalist society, big businesses often cut corners to gain the advantage over others. Sometimes these tactics are not moral, ethical, or legal... yet these big businesses can get away with anything so they do it anyways.

whether they can get away with it or not does not matter... the amount of forced prostitution will be lowered just by the fact that prostitution would be monitored...

of course, same thing happens with every job or whatever... sometimes people sign up to do something, sometimes it's forced... the forced part is always, always, illegal.
