if im in that more old school rawer mood then its illmatic

remember, the real rap comes at halftime


halftime on illmatic, is one of my favourite songs form him ever, its great coz its halfway through the album (hence the title halftime) and the whole track it sorta taking a step back and just casuaully spitting some dope verses to relax you, so in all senses while listening to the album this truly is "halftime", witch is a sick concept on its own, then nas just kills the track.. its just behind NY state of Mind and lifes a bitch for me on that album (the first 2 being my fav.) but while the other two track are just sick tracks, halftime is a sick track with this kool lttle concept that is actually doin what it says it does.
