quick question

[Lil Pimp Tell 'Em]

My computer.. wont start. I can turn it on but it won't get past the Windows boot screen and after maybe about 5 minutes a blue screen will come up saying that the computer needs to be shut down. I tried safe mode - doesn't work. So, I figured you know I'll just re install xp.. the problem is I can't find the disk for the life of me. I looked for about atleast an hour and a half.. and alls I could find was the disk for my moms computer.. I have home she has professional. So basically my question is .. is there a way I can re install without spending the 200$ +?

Todays just not my day.. I also broke my xbox cable cord.. the yellow plug..I lifted my leg and hit it and it busted the tip right off so now alls I get is sound. -_-
