Yeah that's true, but Wayne is a different case.

Wayne is actively portraying to (as you said) millions of people that hip hop is indeed what people who don't listen to hip hop assume; ie, crap songs about women, bling and money. Not only is he portraying it to the million people who bought his album, he's also portraying it to the other million+ people who didn't, because people hype him up and he gets shoved on all the music channels and charts.

Yeah, but you kinda expect that from Em 'cause he's really really famous. He's on a different level.

ICP on the other hand... They go platinum with their records without any sort of radio play or mainstream attention. Only devoted fans can get that to happen. And even though Em gets a lot of hate, he gets a lot of critical parise as well, so his fans aren't always backed into a corner by themselves. But you can't say anything to ICP fans. They will defend them no matter how retarded the situation is.
