“Ah, the TRShady awards.
An idea I had several times, but I didn’t feel I had the time or influence to orchestrate something like it. Personally I think it’s an excellent idea.
Some of the people who know me know about the influence the TRShady community has had on my music, and indeed, life. When I came here in late 2006, I was just some kid with aspirations to rap. I rapped in an American accent, with a ear-shattering high voice and the subject matter of any emo kid. 2 years later, look at where I am. I mean, for starters I’m nominated for some. That’s something I would never have had 2 years ago. Then, I would never have collaborated with this many people had I not come here, and I certainly wouldn’t have felt my music had improved enough that it had become worthy enough to be rapped in public. You can see the change, the varied concept, the deepening voice (though I owe that more to puberty :P) and the general improvement. Though my quality has stayed shite, much to many members chagrin :P So I’m pleased to be included in this thing, and also to be nominated.
Anyway, the following is the category Best Song. Really the only way you can vote for this is based upon which one you liked most. So the award for the BEST SONG of 2008 goes to non other than… than…. C-RIZ!!! For “Raise Ya Lighter” featuring Bar, congratulations!!”
