50 Cent Reveals The Eminem Collaboration On New LP

Postby iraqi4life » Oct 22nd, '08, 20:14

50 Cent is now asking parents to cover up their kids' ears. While prepping the release of his latest effort and right after news broke of his latest film moves, 50 is leaking information about his new album, Before I Self Destruct.

"They'll say, 'Oh, it's too aggressive.' ... Soon as you do something that's a little more lighthearted, and you can play the whole record and feel like you don't have to cover your kid's ears, I get penalized for it. So get ready to cover your kid's ears. Now I'm really interested in seeing how the public responds," he told MTV.

50 also went on to add that this album is better than his last effort, which saw a lot of criticism.

"I got so much more, so many different records to feel out and see what direction I wanna go in next. I've been writing this record for a year. I started Before I Self Destruct before I started Curtis [click to read]. Conceptually, this one has been very well-groomed."

He also added that Eminem worked with him on "Norman Bates Motel" where he said Em was bringing "the return of Slim Shady."

"So far, I've kinda kept to myself and wrote what I felt was exciting from my perspective. It's always fun working with Em for me. He's in a space where he has the luxury of just being able to sit down. The rest of us ... me, I do the actual footwork. Dre hasn't had an album out in seven years. Em — two years. Me — seven, eight months. They send me out to test the waters, and everyone else will jump in the tub. I stay a little more active. Em is by far the biggest rap artist, period. I'm the largest Hip Hop touring artist. I travel more places than he travels to be in front of a live audience."

Em also encouraged Fif to do a movie to go along with the album.

"He's like, 'Go, just do it. If you wanna go, just do it, and we'll figure everything out after the fact.' There were a few technical questions, considering this is my fourth and final actual studio album. My fifth album requirement [to Shady/Aftermath] is a greatest-hits requirement."

The film will accompany the album, Before I Self Destruct. Expect that to hit stores December 9.

It got silent, then all these voices said
"Come follow me into the pits of Hell"
I heard 'em yell "Welcome to the Norman Bates Motel!"
I ring the bell for service and I was greeted by his mother
Covered in dry blood, head still dented from the shovel
I said I need a room so I could try to get some rest
She gave me the keys to the best suite and a bag of cess
And told me that's just for starters, Satan'll be in to see me later
To see if I'm interested in being partners

Ems mentioned Norman bates motel in a couple other songs to but if this song is anything like this then i guess i dont mind :smoking:

Eminem is going back to his writing book and using the lyrics for his prime. He's laying the verses, simple enough. :8)

ahhahaha I realized how pessimisstic that sounded...

I didn't mean to say that good in the connotation that he's a bad rapper..

i shouldn't have used the word "good"

I'm trying to say he isn't that lyrical anymore, his songs have developed into actual SONGS with concepts and it's music, instead of just being plain lyrical

So in the sense of spitting some of the sickest bars ever with a dope beat in Demon Inside, I meant he can't go back to that lyricism,

that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a song like Lose Yourself, or Till I collapse much more though, which is something he can definitely release again

i'm REALLY excited for the new album and I can't wait ahaha
