true, but i think great beats pretty much play up lyrics and emotions. i can't imagine him spitting 'Soldier' or 'Till I Collapse' on a different beat. i heard remixes, they weren't bad, but the song was something different. there wasn't this connection between the beat and lyrics, probably because i got used to them. but beats make the album too, in my opinion. with shitty beats it wouldn't be that great.
like Obie's 'Cheers'. even though Obie's lyrics are awesome, i hate most of the beats and i kind of feel sorry for that, cuz for me the beats pretty much ruined the album.
