Not everyone knows Rakim, only those who dig deep know him, or those who were born in the 80's or some shit. But Tupac, everyone knows him, I'm pretty sure everyone in all genres know him to. Dude Rakim is complex and great and lyrical as fuck, but no one tops Tupac NO ONE no matter what.James R. wrote:But while I prefer Pac Rakim is the greatest rapper to ever exist. And in regards to sales he's had about 80 more albums than anyone else. It'd be hard NOT to sell that many copies with 96 albums lol

I think I remember when he was shot

Rakim wasn't even involved in that war, that just shows his no power, his only lyrics. IMO 2pac destroyed the east, Hit Em Up IMO is a lot better than "Nas - Either" alot more enjoyable, clubs in Australia till this day play that song. Either is more lyrical, but you act like Tupac is souljah boy or some shit, what pac ain't got lyrics?

Yeah, but Rakim had no reason to, Tupac even said Rakim was the best in one of his songs I think, so why would Rakim even wan't to diss Pac. When I made this topic I was just talkin East vs West rap in general, not the whole Pac vs Big, Mobb Deep and any of that hit em up stuff. So who do you think better East vs West in general?
