Eminem's "Number One" More Like Number Two (Breakin Bottles)

He’s not Axl Rose — yet — but it has been four years since Eminem had an album at the top of the charts. “Number One” — which might be unfinished; some YouTube commenters even write that Eminem runs through a verse intended for Dr. Dre — suggests he’s angling for that old success, but even with this solid beat, it doesn't sound like he’s even up to the faded glory of Encore. His rhymes are clunky and embarrassing (“So crack a bottle, let your body waddle / Don't act just like a sloppy model, you just hit the lotto”), and when he sings, we wish he'd borrowed Kanye's Auto-Tune. Eminem’s forthcoming album is called Relapse, but finished or not, this track just feels like a hangover.

Really called "Breakin' Bottles"

Found this artical and kind of agree with it a little. Do you guys really think Eminem is gunna come back with the old style or do you think he doesnt have that talent like he use too?
Even if this was an unfinished or rejected track.

Number One, or as it's really called "Breakin' Bottles" is just a rejected track from Detox, so it's not changing my opinion of Relapse.

I actually like the track a lot now. It's pretty catchy. But I think Verse's 1 and 3 shit on Em's verse for himself, lol. I dunno, not a lot of people agree with me, lol.

Why the hell does the author rip on the title Number one when he goes saying it's not the real title later in the article?

Give me a source so I can hate it.

^ I know. Whoever wrote this article is retarded. And it's not an actual song from Relapse, yet I've been hearing that everywhere. People just love to make stuff up.

And he shoulda used auto-tune when he was singing? Why, so he can sound like every other artist that's out right now, using auto-tune, because 'that's the thing to do'? FUCK THAT.

I really hope Relapse is an amazing album, just to shut these idiot critics up.

And the track would be okay if it was finished, and Dre rapped the parts he was supposed to rap :y:

This is idiocy. He quotes the fucking CHORUS as an example of the rhyming in the song and not the verses--That just shows that this dumbass knows nothing about rap.

The rhyming in the song was far above everything on the Encore album. The rhymes weren't the problem, it was just that the chorus was annoying and his delivery is still kinda whack. But he's much better now than he was four years ago if this track was recorded recently.

I have no problem with criticizing Eminem--it's that his criticisms of of the song are stupid.

Yeah, when he said he needed an auto-tune that basically confirms that this guy is a moron.
