the only problem with that is newbies posting shit just to get their post count up. that had to of been a pain in the ass for staff here to take care of all the unwanted garbage. for example u had/have newbies posting on topics that r months old and don't have anything to contribute to the said topic. just an example. just giving my 2 cents on the subject.

If the bs posts and topics are deleted then they lose the post count, but that's a whole different pain in the dick. There really isn't a way to regulate it. I mean you get people like SacJB MVP who come on here and think their actually talking about something worth while, but are just spamming.

The best way to combat it is to just not respond to newbie fuckers when they ask for shit until people feel like they've made an actual contribution to the thread.

There are some new posters who contribute to the download section. I agree though that this would be good in the long run.

If I see a member that is constantly posting 1 word posts, or any meaningless spam I will simply disallow them entrance individually in to sections as punishment. Only cause it'll piss em off.

How would new members post stuff for others to download if they can't see the download section ? Sorry, just had to point that out. Also, I don't think seniority should be judged by post count, simply because I lurk more than I post . I thought I'd point this out Quality of post count should/does count, if you are posting really good shit constantly then cool but yeah you right if you are just posting bullshit all the time/spamming - FUCK THAT! Newbies should have to prove them selves with around or more than 50 Quality posts ie Downloadable media/quality news that type o shit! Especially if they are posting crappy/meaningless threads!! that makes me too!

I think 100 posts is a fair enough thing cause that's how it used to work out and it worked out perfectly but the thing is that people will spam more cause they want to go to the DL section so in one way or another none of them seem better so maybe something could be done which is in between those 2 options.
