A ton of people know Papoose. And if you look at this logically, if one person rates him, he's rated. And if they happen to like him more than I feel he should be liked he's automatically overrated. When Pap was saturating the streets with his bland ass bull shit he had a pretty deep following. I mean if you went into a room of people then you had at LEAST 4-8 people that had heard that Alphabet Slaughter crap and were impressed by him stringing together random words that happened to start with the same letter, but really didn't say anything at all. Could I have done that? Probably. But would I? No. Why? Because once you listen to the song the 2nd time and the novelty of it wares off people see through you.
Papoose is decent, but when he was really out there he had people talkin about how he was the guy that was gonna save hip-hop. How he was gonna be the next Nas and/or Jay-Z or the next Pac. All because the guy had a relatively wide vocabulary. He never impressed me as an artist and I've listened to a TON of his shit. He's just another painfully average rapper that sounds better than he is because he uses big words, and obviously using big words makes you the shit. Not content, flow, or versatility.
