I don't hate Lil Wayne for making money or music. I don't even know what he's like outside of the booth, and frankly I don't care. He's not an artist that hits my radar. In my opinion, his lyrics are pretty weak. I can't even tell what the hell he's saying 80% of the time. But whatever, if he can entertain people with his grumbling voice, that's great for him. I'm not hating the player. I do, however, hate the fans that think he's the greatest. I think whoever finds him to be on Em's level is an idiot. No offense to anyone here.

My issue with Kanye is just the opposite, I suppose. It's not his music that bugs me, it's what he's like outside the booth that makes me think he deserves to die.

Well i personally don't care what anyone says, Lil Wayne deserves all the hate he gets. His success is merely a testament to how stupid today's youth is (cause we all know that's who buys his shit). Saying he doesn't deserve hate because he's been doing it since he was a teen is as bad an excuse as saying Soulja Boy deserves respect because he did it when he was so young. I don't care that he's making money; but it's possible to make money without degrading your artistic integrity. Look at Eminem. He made shitloads of money and half his singles are full of decent lyrics, even if they are delivered in a pop way (no, i'm not talking about Just Lose It and Ass Like That, before you say; i know they were abominations). What does Lil Wayne use as his singles? Lollipop. A Milli. Got Money. Now what are all those songs about? Girls, money and how great he is. Lil Wayne's music, and it's themes, represents exactly what people view as hip hop; mindless bragging. And since he has so much exposure due to his idiotic mainstream audience, he gets spread further, making people get this impression of hip hop and believe in it even more. That's the main thing about him that pisses me off so much, more than anything else; more than his annoying voice, more than his simple lyrics, and more than his gay bird calls he shouts at the start of his songs.

I like kanye because his tracks do have some meaning and sound quite unique. Also since he produces aswell hes even more admirable.

I hate kanye because he sounds posh - in other words there's no character or charisma in his voice. Also he is too confident - he's not as good as he thinks/act like he is - getting up and fucking over someone elses award at the mtv awards was too much - even if he was correct in what he was saying.

Also - this is a important point that probably hasn't been thought of - kanye is well-spoken and clever - record companies want someone like him to represent hiphop at music events showcasing all genres such as live earth etc - this is because if he is asked a question he can give a politically correct and suitable answer - record labels don't want people that may say something wrong/controversial i.e. 'fuck up' on live tv or anything. I believe that this is a big reason kanye is given so many international shows etc.
