I'm Rising

This is based on an urdu poem by Habib Jalib who was a revolutionary poet. He wrote the poem when the Pakistani government had him arrested for his poetry in the '70s.

With my enlightened mind I use the pen that's in my hand
No tyrant can repress me because oppression tends to end
I'm selfless and sympathetic, You're selfish and apathetic
I'm rising like the sun lifting your darkness from this land
The Devil crept into heaven, God overslept on the 7th
The New World Order was born on September 11th
