Hitting Women

So we all know Chris Brown MAY HAVE beat Rihanna's ass, and while I don't condone hitting women I have to ask. Is there ever an excuse to hit a woman?

I know for me personally, I've been slapped in the face and was literally a split second from swinging back just because that's my basic reaction. Granted I didn't, but I can understand to an extent if a guy gets slapped/punched in the face the 1st punch/slap back could be complete reaction.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

I don't think there is an excuse. I mean even as a reaction, it's still a bad thing to do. Like you said, most people may want to for a split second, but should be able to hold it back. Hmmm... I think the only people who should be able to slap/hit women are other women . Hitting anyone that doesn't stand a chance fighting back is a low thing to do.

Well that's the thing, it just depends on how defenseless the woman is. I mean in a coed Karate class, you can hit women/girls without any trouble right? I mean equality shouldn't be used as an excuse for douchebags to hit their wives senseless if they simply get slapped. It's kind of like if a little kid hit you out of anger. You can't go punching back. But like you pointed out, if a woman is beating some guy senseless, then someone should definitely be able to step in and stop her, by force if required.

I have to admit, my fiancee' is a real man, because even though he may grab my wrists when we argue, it's for the better. Because unlike him, I don't play fair, I get physical sometimes when I get really heated. And I've slapped him across the face as hard as I could, and he just stood there and then walked off so we could both cool. That was a long time ago though. But both of us see Psychs to vent and all that to keep things like that from happening again...But I don't condone hitting a woman, and I don't condone hitting a man (which is very over-rated). I mean, a guy hits a woman, it's abuse. A woman hits a guy, it's self-defense...so where is it very fair for a guy...

ok guys its true that women want to be treated the same..but u gotta realise that there is no comparaison btw how strong is a man and a woman, i never slapped a man and like u said its not fair that we can slap men and u guys cant slap us but if a woman slaps a man( with all her strengh)...it may hurt yes but it wont break his nose, make his lips/nose bleed, make him bruises...but men are way stronger and if they hit a woman...look what happens (Rihanna is the best example for it)

Gentlemen’s will not let their hands to slap or touch a women, cuz it’s not the right thing to do , because women are weaker than us , and we're supposed to be the men,, ..so fight with men, not with women , and for me if my gal slap me or something , I will just walk away , and show her that didn’t like that form her and be angry ,, and later she will hate herself because she did that . and the opposite is true ,, so nah hitting women show weakness in a men personality ,, and i dont prefer it at all ..
