Why the fuck doesn't America do that?

It's tax season and while I'm getting an awesome return it makes me think "hey I'm not getting money back I'm just paying the government less" because they're still getting a SHIT LOAD of my hard earned money.

Let me explain:

Here in Pittsburgh lets say you make $1000 one check. AWESOME, right? WRONG. After taxes you only get (on average) about 70%-75% of your check after City, State, and Federal taxes. So now you only have $700-$750. So then lets say you want to go out and blow it. We're lucky and only have a 7% sales tax so you luck up and spend $650-$700 and then with taxes you're done. That's bull shit.

If America was smart in my opinion they'd just spike the sales tax and cut all those bull shit taxes. Meaning you get ALL 1000 of those dollars you earned. So lets just say the sales tax was 25% meaning you'd pay an extra quarter for every dollar your spent. There wouldn't be much difference in Pittsburgh, but in places like NYC when you get WAY more taxes taken out you'd have people spending more money because they'd have more money therefore making you as much or more money in the long run while also giving places a reason to hire people because they were, imagine this, not going the fuck out of business.

Also, the HUGE plus side to this is that you can tax all those little bastard ass illegal immigrants who get paid cash under the table because they still have to buy shit, so BAM taxation mother effers. And we'd get those drug dealers that make hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, or more dollars that NEVER gets taxed yet they go out and buy thousand dollar chains and shit. National sales tax hits them harder.

I dunno, I just always thought this would be a smarter idea than our system now which is so obviously flawed. Maybe I'm not correct on some things and you guys can fill me in, agree, or completely disagree.

Starting at 1:25 he basically makes the same points you do almost word for word. But yeah, it makes more sense in my opinion. More money = more cash flow = better economy in general.
